Immune, Allergy & Respiratory Conditions
Your Immune and Respiratory Health Shapes How You Feel and Recover
An immune, allergy or respiratory diagnosis may help explain recurring illness, sensitivities, congestion or breathing concerns, but it may not fully capture how those symptoms affect your energy, sleep, recovery and everyday life. To understand your individual experience, we consider the broader patterns that may be relevant to your overall wellness.
At The Well, we come alongside you and your healthcare providers with personalized support designed to complement, not replace, medical evaluation, allergy or lung testing, medication management, inhalers or other prescribed treatment.
SUPPORT THAT COMPLEMENTS YOUR CARE
Your Diagnosis Is Part of the Story
A diagnosis can provide important context, but it does not fully describe how a condition affects you. Two people with the same diagnosis may experience different symptoms, sensitivities, triggers, recovery patterns and daily limitations. Health history, environmental exposures, medications and current treatment can also shape each person’s needs.
We look beyond the name of the condition to understand how often symptoms occur, what patterns you have noticed and how the condition affects your energy, sleep, breathing comfort and everyday activities. This helps us consider how complementary wellness support may fit appropriately alongside the care you already receive.

The conditions below are grouped to make the page easier to explore. Open any topic to learn more about the condition, the broader wellness areas The Well may consider and how personalized support may complement the medical care you already receive.
Allergy & Skin Conditions
Seasonal & Environmental Allergies
Seasonal and environmental allergies occur when the immune system reacts to substances such as pollen, dust mites, mold or animal dander. Symptoms and triggers can vary throughout the year and may affect the nose, eyes, skin, sleep and daily comfort. The Well may consider environmental patterns, nutrition, stress and overall wellness. Our modalities do not replace allergy testing, prescribed medication, immunotherapy or care from an allergist.
Food Allergies
Food allergies involve an immune reaction to a specific food and can range from mild symptoms to a life-threatening emergency. They are different from food sensitivities or intolerances and require appropriate medical evaluation. The Well may consider nutrition, digestion and the practical effects of food avoidance while respecting the individual’s allergy plan. Our support does not replace allergist care, prescribed epinephrine or emergency treatment.
Chronic Urticaria
Chronic urticaria causes recurring hives, itching or swelling that continues or returns over an extended period. A specific trigger is not always identified, and experiences can differ significantly. The Well may consider nutrition, stress, sleep, skin comfort and broader wellness patterns while accounting for current treatment. Persistent hives or swelling should be evaluated by a qualified healthcare provider, allergist or dermatologist.
Eczema
Eczema, also called atopic dermatitis, is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that may cause dryness, itching, irritation and recurring rashes. Symptoms can be influenced by several factors and may change over time. The Well may consider nutrition, digestion, stress, sleep and environmental patterns as part of the broader wellness picture. Our modalities complement, but do not replace, dermatology or allergy care and prescribed treatment.
Mast Cell Activation Syndrome
Mast Cell Activation Syndrome involves recurring episodes in which mast cells release chemical mediators that can affect more than one body system. Because its symptoms can overlap with many other conditions, diagnosis requires careful medical evaluation and appropriate testing. The Well may consider nutrition, stress, symptom patterns and overall wellness while respecting the person’s existing care. Support should remain coordinated with an allergist, immunologist or other qualified specialist.
Sinus & Respiratory Conditions
Asthma
Asthma is a chronic condition affecting the airways and may cause wheezing, coughing, chest tightness or shortness of breath. Symptoms, triggers and treatment needs vary from person to person. The Well may consider environmental patterns, nutrition, sleep, stress and physical recovery as part of the broader picture. Our modalities do not replace inhalers, medication, pulmonary testing, an asthma action plan or emergency treatment.
Chronic Sinusitis
Chronic sinusitis involves ongoing inflammation of the sinuses and may cause congestion, facial pressure, drainage, headaches or a reduced sense of smell. Allergies, structural concerns, infections and other factors may be relevant. The Well may consider hydration, nutrition, environmental patterns, sleep and general wellness. Persistent symptoms require appropriate evaluation and may involve care from a primary care provider, allergist or ear, nose and throat specialist.
Chronic Bronchitis
Chronic bronchitis is a long-term respiratory condition involving inflammation of the bronchial tubes and a persistent mucus-producing cough. It may be associated with smoking, environmental exposure or chronic lung disease. The Well may consider nutrition, energy, sleep, stress and recovery as part of the broader wellness picture. Pulmonary evaluation, medication and other prescribed treatments remain essential and should not be discontinued or adjusted without medical guidance.
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, commonly called COPD, is a progressive lung condition that includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It can affect breathing, energy, physical activity and recovery. The Well may consider nutrition, sleep, stress and general wellness as part of complementary support. COPD requires ongoing medical care, and our modalities do not replace inhalers, oxygen therapy, pulmonary rehabilitation or treatment from a qualified healthcare provider.
Recurrent Respiratory Infections
Repeated respiratory infections may involve the sinuses, throat, airways or lungs and can have several possible explanations. Frequent, severe or unusually persistent infections should receive appropriate medical evaluation. The Well may consider nutrition, sleep, stress, digestion and recovery patterns as part of the broader wellness picture. Our modalities do not diagnose immune dysfunction or replace testing, antibiotics, antiviral medication or other treatment when medically necessary.
Immune System Conditions
Primary Immunodeficiency Disorders
Primary immunodeficiency disorders, also called inborn errors of immunity, are conditions in which part of the immune system does not function properly. They can increase susceptibility to recurring or serious infections and vary considerably in severity. The Well may consider nutrition, digestion, energy and recovery as part of complementary wellness support. Ongoing care from an immunologist and adherence to prescribed treatment remain essential.
Autoimmune Conditions
Autoimmune conditions occur when the immune system mistakenly targets the body’s own tissues. This broad category includes many different diagnoses with distinct symptoms, treatment plans and medical needs. The Well may consider nutrition, digestion, sleep, stress and physical recovery as part of the whole-person picture. Our modalities do not suppress, stimulate or treat the immune system and do not replace specialist care, medication or medical monitoring.

LOOKING BEYOND THE DIAGNOSIS
Immune and Respiratory Conditions Can Affect the Whole Person
A diagnosis may identify part of what you are experiencing, but it does not always explain how the condition affects your energy, sleep, recovery and daily comfort. To understand your individual experience, we consider several areas that may be relevant without assuming that any one of them caused the condition.

Immune & Recovery Patterns
We consider how often illnesses or flare-ups occur, how long symptoms tend to last and whether recovery feels slower than expected. We also account for previous infections, changes in health and patterns that may have developed over time.

Allergens, Environment & Exposure
Seasonal changes, indoor air quality, animals, dust, mold, workplace conditions and other environmental exposures may affect symptoms differently from one person to another. We consider the patterns you have noticed while respecting any allergy testing or avoidance plan already in place.

Breathing, Sinus & Respiratory Comfort
We explore how congestion, sinus pressure, coughing, wheezing or breathing concerns affect sleep, activity and everyday life. Respiratory symptoms require appropriate medical care, and we account for inhalers, medications, action plans and guidance from your providers.

Nutrition, Digestion & Energy
Appetite, food restrictions, digestive comfort, nutrient intake and energy may be relevant to overall wellness. These areas are considered as part of the broader picture, not as explanations for an allergy, immune disorder or respiratory condition.

Sleep, Stress & Physical Recovery
Symptoms that interfere with breathing or comfort can make restorative sleep more difficult. Ongoing stress and poor sleep may also add to fatigue and make recovery feel more challenging without being the cause of the diagnosed condition.

Medical Treatment & Current Care
We account for medications, inhalers, allergy treatments, immune therapies, emergency plans and care from primary providers, allergists, immunologists, pulmonologists or other specialists. This helps us identify support that fits appropriately alongside existing treatment.
Considering these areas helps us understand how the condition is affecting the whole person. It does not determine what caused the condition or replace medical evaluation, allergy testing, pulmonary testing or treatment. Our role is to come alongside you and your healthcare providers with support that respects your existing care.
Still Trying to Understand Recurring Immune or Respiratory Symptoms?
If you have not received a diagnosis or are still trying to understand concerns such as frequent illness, lingering symptoms, slow recovery, recurring congestion, sensitivities or unexplained skin reactions, begin with our Immune & Complex Health Concerns symptoms guide. It can help you explore the broader patterns and learn how The Well may support your next step.
A PERSONALIZED APPROACH
We Start by Listening to the Whole Story
Digestive symptoms can be frustrating, especially when they change from day to day or do not seem to follow an obvious pattern. At The Well, your first step is not choosing from a list of modalities. Our process begins with understanding what you have been experiencing and how it is affecting your everyday life.
1. Understand What You Are Experiencing
We take time to learn how your symptoms appear, when they tend to occur and whether you have noticed patterns involving certain foods, meals or routines. We may also discuss bowel habits, appetite, health history, medications, current medical care and your goals. You do not need to arrive with perfect records or an explanation for what is happening.
2. Explore Relevant Areas of Support
Using the information you share and any appropriate assessments, we consider patterns that may be relevant to your digestive wellness. This may include nutrition, eating habits, hydration, stress and daily routines. We then consider which modalities may offer meaningful support and how they can complement care you are already receiving from your healthcare providers.
3. Create a Personalized Starting Point
You will not be expected to determine which modality you need on your own. Our team will help you identify a practical starting point based on your concerns, goals and comfort level. Your plan may begin with one modality or include several forms of support over time, with recommendations adjusted as your needs change.
Our goal is to come alongside you and your healthcare providers with support that complements your existing care and reflects your digestive concerns, health history and personal wellness goals.
A PERSONALIZED APPROACH
We Come Alongside You and Your Healthcare Providers
Immune, allergy and respiratory conditions can affect each person differently. We begin by understanding your diagnosis, how it is influencing your daily life and the medical care you already receive.
1. Understand Your Diagnosis and Current Care
We learn about your diagnosis, health history, current providers and treatment plan. This may include allergy or pulmonary testing, medications, inhalers, immune therapies, emergency action plans and any medical recommendations or restrictions.
2. Understand How It Is Affecting You
We take time to explore the symptoms, sensitivities, triggers and recovery patterns you have noticed. We also consider how the condition affects breathing comfort, sleep, energy, physical activity, work and everyday routines.
3. Identify Complementary Support
Based on your individual needs, goals, health history and existing care, we consider which supportive modalities may be appropriate. You will not be expected to determine which modality you need or navigate the options alone.
Our goal is to come alongside you and your healthcare providers with personalized support that complements your existing care and respects the full story of what you have been experiencing.
MODALITIES THAT MAY SUPPORT YOU
Personalized Support for Immune and Respiratory Wellness
Having a diagnosis does not automatically mean that a particular modality is appropriate for you. Recommendations depend on your symptoms, health history, current treatment and guidance from your healthcare providers. Some modalities require additional screening or medical clearance, particularly during an active infection, fever, severe allergic flare or period of unstable respiratory symptoms.
These two modalities provide a broad starting point for exploring nutritional needs and broader wellness patterns while respecting your diagnosis and existing medical care.
Muscle Response Testing
A non-invasive assessment method that may help explore patterns of stress and guide individualized nutritional recommendations. Muscle Response Testing is not an allergy test and does not diagnose immune dysfunction, infection or respiratory conditions.
Personalized Nutrition
Customized nutrition and supplement recommendations based on your individual needs, documented allergies, health concerns and wellness goals. Existing medications, dietary restrictions and guidance from allergists, immunologists, pulmonologists or other healthcare providers are considered when developing recommendations.
Additional Modalities That May Be Considered
Depending on your condition, current symptoms and personalized starting point, one or more of these modalities may also be considered.
Electro-Lymphatic Therapy
A gentle, non-invasive modality designed to support healthy lymphatic flow and fluid movement. It may be considered when swelling, puffiness or feelings of heaviness are part of the broader wellness picture.
Flowpresso
A relaxing full-body modality combining gentle compression, warmth and deep pressure. It may be considered when lymphatic flow, physical recovery, relaxation or nervous system support is relevant to the individual’s broader experience.
Infrared Sauna
A gentle heat modality that may support relaxation, healthy circulation and relief from everyday physical tension. It does not treat allergies, infections or respiratory disease, and appropriate screening is important before beginning sessions.
Purification Programs
Guided whole-food nutrition programs designed to support healthier eating habits and the body’s natural processes. Recommendations can be adapted around documented food allergies, medical dietary restrictions and guidance from your healthcare providers.
Thermal Imaging
A non-invasive, radiation-free scan that maps surface temperature patterns throughout the body. Thermal imaging may provide supplemental wellness information, but it does not diagnose allergies, infections, immune disorders or respiratory conditions and does not replace medical imaging or testing.
Remote Nutritional Care
Personalized nutritional guidance and continued support for clients who cannot visit The Well in person. Recommendations can be coordinated with existing medical guidance and adjusted as individual needs change.
IV Infusions & Injections at The Well Spa
Individualized hydration and nutrient support delivered under the guidance of a qualified provider. Medical screening helps determine whether an infusion or injection may be appropriate based on health history, medications and current care.
Neural Therapy at The Well Spa
An injection-based modality that may be considered when scars, previous infections, surgeries, sinus concerns or other physical stressors are part of the broader picture. Appropriate screening helps determine whether Neural Therapy may fit alongside existing medical or specialist care.
These modalities are not a checklist, and you will not be expected to choose from them alone. Our team will consider your diagnosis, current symptoms, treatment plan and goals before helping you identify an appropriate place to begin. Do not discontinue or adjust medications, inhalers, allergy plans, immune therapies or other medical treatment without consulting the appropriate healthcare provider.
YOUR NEXT STEP
You Do Not Need to Navigate This Alone
You may be living with a diagnosis, experiencing several overlapping concerns or looking for support that works alongside the medical care you already receive. You do not need to know which modality may be appropriate before reaching out.
Share what you are navigating, the patterns you have noticed and the care you currently receive. Our team will review your information and help you identify a practical place to begin based on your needs, goals and existing treatment.
